Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard set the tone early, finding the net within the first 30 minutes and giving Mikel Arteta’s side a comfortable lead. Arsenal had a chance to extend their lead further when Bukayo Saka was fouled in the box by Lucas Paqueta. Despite being the team’s designated penalty-taker, Saka chose to hand the responsibility to captain Odegaard. The Norwegian midfielder stepped up confidently and converted from the spot, making it 3-0 for the visitors.

Speaking to Sky Sports about his decision to let Odegaard take the penalty, Saka said: "It was nice. Martin is a top player, he's been playing so good since he came back. He wanted to take the penalty to score today. I'm more than happy to give him the ball because he always gives me the ball. We have a good connection so let's just keep this form going."
